QUESTIONS ABOUT THE
PICKUP |
|
Where do the extra charges begin
for the hotel pickup?
If you are in the Cancun hotel zone or in downtown Cancun
there is no extra charge for the transportation. Transportation
is included from those locations. However south of Cancun
from BEYOND the Moon Palace down to Tulum there is an
extra charge for the transportation. Please see the
box above for the charges for the transportation from
the Riviera Maya. How
will I know you when you arrive to pick me up?
We will be looking for you in the hotel lobby. We
will probably be one of the only vans at the hotel
at that time of day. Plus we will look for you and
you look for us and as a last resort call your room
from a house phone.
What time do
you pick up in the Riviera Maya or Playa del Carmen?
Your pick up time will depend on your hotel.
If you are in Playa del Carmen the pick up will be
an hour before your departure time, but we will put
the exact time on your coupon when you reserves.
If you are in a Riviera Maya hotel your pickup will
generally be 30 minutes to 1 hour before your scheduled
departure time.
When you reserve you tell us the hotel and we will
inform you of the pick-up time.

QUESTIONS ABOUT RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS |
back to FAQ |
What happens once I reserve?
Once you send in a reservation with your credit card
we will charge your card the amount of the tour plus
the added transportation fee if you are outside the
Cancun hotel zone. Then we will send you a coupon which
you will print and bring with you to be given to the
driver at the time of pickup. The coupon is your proof
of purchase and will have a unique confirmation number
and coupon number on it and an emergency phone number
to call if something goes wrong. What
is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel any fishing trip up to 24 hours before
departure and only pay a 5% credit administrative
processing fee. If the trip is cancelled because the
port is closed or due to bad weather then you will
receive a 100% refund. Please remember we do not accept
cancellations from anyone but the person that made
the reservation. This is to protect you.
What if I want
to change the date of the trip?
No problem, we will gladly move any trip for you to
a different day, space permitting, as long as you
give us a minimum of 24 hours notice. There is no
fee for changes.
Is it possible
to make reservation for Shallow Water Night Fishing
when I get to Cancun?
Yes. We do recommend you make your fishing reservations
as far in advance as possible so that you are sure
to get a boat. During the high season from January
to August there are many times we have no boats available
2-3 days in advance.
To reserve once you arrive in Cancun call us at 898-4312
or if you are outside Cancun call us at 01-998-898-4312.
If you have a U.S. cell phone you may call 1-800-860-5917.
We now have more
people that want to go. What do we do?
To reserve space for more people once you arrive in
Cancun call us at 898-4312 or if you are outside Cancun
call us at 01-998-898-4312. If you have a U.S. cell
phone, or are still in the states, you may call 1-800-860-5917.
We will do our best to accommodate your other guests.
Space permitting, no problem, or we will make recommendations
of another day when we can accommodate all your guests.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FISHING |
back to FAQ |
What are we likely to catch?
In the lagoon at night where
we go you may catch Snapper, Groupers, Sting Rays, Shark,
Grunts, Sea Trout, Perch, Yellowtail Snapper, Snook,
Amberjack and Lady Fish or Skip Jack.
What happens
to the catch?
When you get back to the dock the crew is going to
clean and prepare the fish for you to take with you,
if you desire. Then keep them cold over night and
take them to a restaurant in Cancun. A true adventure
in itself – hot sauce included but optional.
How long is the
boat ride?
The first stop is 25 minutes from the dock. Then there
are various other stops a short distance from the
first stop.
Do you provide
the equipment?
Yes, we supply all needed fishing equipment, boating
equipment and baits.
Can I bring my
own equipment?
Absolutely, if you have a favorite rod, reel, lures,
flies or special bait bring them.
How deep is the
water?
The water where we fish will be a minimum of 15 feet
deep and a maximum of 40 feet. We may go out deeper
but seldom will go shallower. But it does depend on
where the fish are that day. My recommendation is
trust the guides. The guide’s job is to “put
you on fish.” Then your job is to get them in
the boat. We do always stay in the protection of the
lagoon.
Will I get seasick?
On this particular trip we do no leave the protection
of the lagoon. However seasickness depends on the
individual and the conditions of the sea the day you
go fishing. We recommend that if you do not know if
you get seasick that you take a commercial motion
sickness medication or use the wrist bands or patches
that go behind the ear. Why take a chance?
Do I need wading equipment?
No. This is not a wade fishing trip. You will never
leave the boat.
How does this
differ from fly fishing and spin tackle fishing?
On our fly fishing and spin tackle fishing trips are
day trips and this is a night trip. We are using surface
lures and on the day trips and the night fishing we
some lures and we use bait as we are fishing for different
species of fish at night. To see information on flats
and fly fishing Click
Here!. The boats are larger for the night fishing
trip than the shallow water boats we us for fly fishing
and spin tackle fishing.
