Part of the CanunVista "Adventure Tour Series." Coming in on a cruise ship or staying in Cozumel, Playa or Cancun this tour will show you how close you are to the edge of civilization. Ride in a jeep through the part of Cozumel visited by few people. Plus you will get to snorkel and beach comb.

After a little “beach combing” it is off to a couple of Mayan ruins dating back to 1200 AD. Then off to some snorkeling on “Dzul Ha” –weather permitting. You will snorkel and see coral and an abundance of fish. Absolutely the best snorkeling on Cozumel Island.

Then it's time for a little history as we stop at the oldest town in Cozumel, “El Cedral”. There you will learn about the Mayan Indians and how this town came to be. There are some local shops where you can bargain for authentic Mexican souvenirs. This is truly a unique part of Cozumel and a fun little stop along our tour.

We then continue our trek to the east side of the island for a quick stop at “El Mirador” for some spectacular beach photos!

At "El Galleon" you will be treated to a FREE drink, chips and salsa under a large palapa hut while enjoying the sights and sounds of this paradise island.

You will have free time to spend on the soft white sandy beaches “soaking up the rays,” swimming, boogie boarding or just relaxing, the choice is yours!

Finally you will circle around the rest of the island and finish up back in town for a delicious chicken lunch at a local restaurant.

Your guide will help you have a fun day in the fresh air and sun and having a professional guide makes exploring Cozumel fun, safe and easy.

Your 4 to 5 hour tour will include a Jeep with a driver; snorkeling gear, lunch, and one free mixed drink or (beer, soda and water.)

Cruise Ship Passengers
International or Puerta Maya pier arrivals:
Take a short taxi ride to the Barracuda Hotel, located in downtown one block
south of the Punta Langosta Mall.
A guide will meet you in front of the Barracuda Hotel.

Punta Langosta pier arrivals:
Walk one block South (the water will be on your right) to the Barracuda
Hotel.
A guide will meet you in front of the Barracuda Hotel.

If your ship arrives at the Downtown (Fiscal or Ferry) Pier, you can either
make the
10-minute walk south (water will be on your right) or take a taxi to the
Barracuda Hotel.
The taxi ride from either destination is between $5-$7 dollars U.S.

QUESTION ABOUT THE TOUR.

My ship arrives at 10 AM can we take this tour?
First make sure your ship arrives at 10 AM since many times the quote the time zone of your departure and your correct arrival time is 9 AM for example.
If you do in fact arrive at 10 AM yes we will wait for you but you do need to get off the boat as quickly as possible.


Do I get to drive the jeep?
Normally no, we provide drivers and put 3 guests with each jeep and driver.  However, if you are part of a large goup you may get the opportunity to drive.

How many people go in one jeep?
Since we provide drivers we put 3 additional people or guests in each jeep for a total 4 per vehicle.


What type of food is served for lunch?
Mexican style “Pollo” lunch. Chicken, rice, salsa tortillas, soft drinks.

How do I take this tour from Cancun?
This tour departs from Cozumel, so you must get from Cancun to Cozumel.
First take a cab or the city buses to the downtown bus terminal. Then board a Playa del Carmen
bus for about $5.00 USD per person one way or you can reserve private transportation from your
Cancun hotel. Click here for private transportation to Playa del Carmen from Cancun. Once in
Playa you will need to board the ferry to Cozumel. Round trip ferry cost is about $22.00 USD.
Arriving on the Ferry from Playa del Carmen go to Punta Langosta Mall-Burger King.

This tour departs from Cozumel, so you must get from your hotel to Cozumel.
