Horseback Riding and Tropical Beach Excursion
Saddle up put on your riding gloves and let’s go. Once you have received a briefing on how to handle your horse it is off thru the tropical jungles of Cozumel. Imagine how you’ll feel on the back of horse –just like the Spaniards of 1700’s - riding through the jungle and then on the sandy beach path as you make your way to Punta Sur Eco Park, an Ecological Reserve on the southern end of Cozumel.
You are going to feel like a modern day Spanish Conquistador when you arrival at “El Caracol” a Mayan ruin which in the distant past, was used as a weather station.
Continue your adventure watching the salt water crocodiles from the safety of an observation tower. Then explore the Colombia Lagoon which provides a refuge for small reef fish after they hatch. The lagoon also feeds the coral reef formations of the Columbia reef offshore.
Next the Cozumel lighthouse, which is still operational, and has a small Navigation Museum attached to it for you to visit.
You are interested in seeing some of the best sites on Cozumel aren’t you? Well you will also get some leisure time to snorkel and see the magnificent and widely varied marine life of Palancar Reef. Relax and sunbathe on the tropical beach or swing in a hammock and enjoy the incomparable view of the Caribbean Sea.
Rested and Relaxed ride your horse back to the Welcome Station and be taken back to the main facility.
